Jordan’s doing fantastically well

News 11 Comments »

As you can see Jordan is doing fantastically and may be discharged from hospital on Monday (8th Feb).  He will go back to have stitches out in a week or so and will return for his casting (for his two new prosthetic limbs) on 1st March. His rehab is due to start 15th March 2010. He is really glad he had the other leg amputated and is eager to get going! Thanks to everyone for their cards, texts etc

Jordans second surgery

News 6 Comments »

Jordan had his operation Monday afternoon (1 Feb) and spent a day and a half in ITU.  The operation went well with adjustments to “Forest” and amputation of the left leg above the knee. The surgeon was pleased with the outcome. Jordan has not had the same chest problems this time which is good news. Now that Jordan’s pain is under control, he is doing really well and is sitting up today eating and reading and even doing some maths with the school teacher! The plaster will come off tomorrow and physio will start in the next couple of days.  Love Dean and Tracey
